Profile: Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home - Yager-Kirchhofer Chapel
One of the oldest family owned funeral homes in Indiana, Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home can trace its roots to April 10, 1899 when William H. Zwick bought an interest in the Auten & Gay Undertaking and Furniture Store in Decatur. This started a family-owned tradition that has survived for over 100 years and continues today. In August of 2018, Zwick & Jahn purchased the Yager – Kirchhofer Funeral Home in Berne, Indiana from John Kirchhofer and the funeral home was renamed Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Yager – Kirchhofer Chapel. After the completion of the Yager – Kirchhofer purchase, an extensive renovation was started on the building which included a new arrangement office, new family dining and lounge area, a catering kitchen area, and upgraded restrooms.
